How Do I Get Started?

You cannot make yourself a "grader" for a class. The head instructor will need to add you as a grader. When an instructor invites you to join a class as a grader, you'll get an email that looks like this:

Click the button in the email and either create an account if you don't have one, or log into your existing account if you have one.

What can I do as the grader?

To view and grade assignments, Click My Classes and you'll see the classes you have access to. Notice that your Role is listed next to each class.

Click on the name of the course to access the class.

If you are a grader, you'll be able to perform the following functions for the class:

  • View the roster

  • View student email addresses (if applicable)

  • View the class key and class join link that students need to use to join the class

  • Grade student work

As a Grader/TA, you will not be able to:

  • assign activities to or delete activities from the class

  • create a new class

  • modify the existing class - to include the name or end date

  • reset student passwords

How do I grade assignments?

Graders have access to the assignments for the class. To see the class's assignments, click on the name of the class (seen above). This will show you the Assignments page:

As a Grader, you can:

  • Access the assignment link to be shared with students

    • Click on the Action dots, then select Copy Link.

  • View, comment, or score students' responses in grade by question and grade by student mode.

  • View all students' current scores

  • Change the due date of an assignment

  • Preview the activity.
