Entering text into a data table
Cells in data tables are configured as numbers or text. If you type text into a cell configured for numbers only, you'll get an error message telling you to enter a number:
The Fix
Click on the Column options (the three dots on the right of the column), then select Column Settings.
Check the Allow Text Data box, then click Done.
A text column will not have a Units/Variable area at the top of the column.
Data Table in a Locked Section
If a section is locked, students won't be able to enter data into a data table within that section.
The Fix
The instructor will need to unlock the section for students to make any further edits.
