Accessibility: Pivot Interactives is for all students.

We are committed to making Pivot Interactives accessible for all learners. We’re continuously expanding the features of our website to make it work for everyone. Pivot Interactives is the leader in using interactive video for science learning and also a leader in making these activities available for all students.

We have two goals for accessibility in Pivot Interactives:

  1. All components and tools within Pivot Interactive learning activities will meet accessibility requirements described in WCAG 2.1

  2. Visually impaired students will have the option of a text alternative that provides the data and measurements needed to complete the activity.

All our current development adheres to WCAG 2.1.

Using interactive video is a new idea, and we are committed to being leaders in providing accessible methods for learning with this medium. We will continue to ensure that Pivot Interactives is accessible to all learners.

1. Accessible Video Player

Our newly updated video player conforms to WCAG 2.1, including screen reader capability, keyboard control alternatives, and descriptive text available for videos.

2. Accessible Data Table

Our newly updated data table tool conforms to WCAG 2.1, including screen reader capability and keyboard control alternatives.

3. Co-Lab™️ Feature

The Pivot Interactives Co-Lab™️ feature allows groups of students to work collaboratively and simultaneously on the same assignment. Work done by one student updates instantly for all the others. Pairing students with visual impairments with sighted students helps to keep Pivot Interactives accessible to all students.

4. Built-In Text Reader

All text components of Pivot Interactives now contain a built-in text reader.
