Overview
When you connect a Pivot Interactives assignment to a Canvas assignment:
Grades are transferred automatically to your Canvas gradebook.
Students can create their accounts and join your Pivot Interactives class all within Canvas.
Students access their work through Canvas without needing to visit our website directly.
If this is the first Pivot Interactives assignment you're creating in Canvas, you'll need to first connect your Canvas sections to Pivot Interactives classes.
Connecting a Canvas assignment to a Pivot Interactives one
Click Assignments and +Assignment. Or edit an existing assignment.
Scroll to Submission Type and select External Tool.
Click Find
Scroll through the list and click Pivot Interactives,
Click Select.
If you previously assigned an activity, then click the assignment name, then Connect Assignment.
Otherwise, click Add Pivot Assignment
Find the activity you wish to assign in your library, then click Assign. If you're assigning out of a different library, click My Libraries and select the library you wish to assign from.
(Optional) If you've not added any activities to your personal library yet, then click Pivot Interactives Library. Use the filters to find an activity. Click Preview to open a new tab and see the activity as a student would. Click Copy & Assign to copy the activity to your library and assign it to your sections.
Make sure you've set the appropriate due dates, then click Assign.
Click the name of the assignment you just created, then click Connect Assignment
Click the assignment you wish to connect, then click Connect Assignment
Click Select one last time.
Complete the rest of the fields in Canvas, such as due date and then press Save and Publish.
