Pivot Interactives believes the best work is your student's personal work - and to encourage this, Pivot Interactives has added several features over the years to allow for deep randomization.

But what can I randomize, and how do I do it? Use this article as a jump point to learn about more specifics with randomization.

Videos

You can randomize videos in the Video Instance player.

Where

In the Video Instance player, you have the option to randomize.

How Random?

You can randomly assign any video in a Video Instance. Remember, each video is assigned based on the combination of their trials.

How To?

To control the randomization, use a Collection Variable with the trials' names as shown in the video player.

Example: For this video trial, you could randomize the System Mass and the Hanging Mass. In the example shown, the System Mass is Preselected, and the Hanging Mass is Student Selected. Learn more in our Video Updates article.

Choice Order

Multiple Choice and Drag-and-Drop questions can randomize the choice order.

Where

You will see the option to Randomize Choice Order on any question with a Choices field.
