Here is a current list of known error bars and what to do if you see it.

  1. Error connecting device: Device Open Failed.

    1. When do you see it? This is usually seen when you refresh the page and attempt to reconnect the sensor for the first time.

    2. What should I do? Reconnect the sensor. Click "Connect Device," select your sensor, and then click "Pair." You will usually be successful on the second attempt.

  2. Bluetooth device error: write command timed out after 5s.

    1. When do you see this? Unknown. If you see this error, let us know how you got it to happen!

    2. What should I do? Nothing. This seems to have no impact on data collection.

  3. Error connecting device: Device Open Failed [Error: Expected command and response characteristics not found]

    1. When do you see this? This is a pretty rare banner. To get this banner, you would need to disconnect your sensor and attempt to reconnect it BEFORE your browser recognizes that the sensor is disconnected.

    2. What should I do?

      1. Option 1: Wait a few seconds and try again. If you attempt to connect a sensor with the "paired" logo showing, you will get an error. You can connect sensors that show the signal strength symbol without issues.

      2. Option 2: Refresh the page. This will cause your browser to release the Bluetooth pairing and allow you to reconnect your sensor like normal.

  4. Bluetooth device disconnected

    1. When do you see this? This error will pop up any time your device becomes disconnected automatically. Typically, this is seen when the battery dies.

    2. What should I do? Turn the device back on and reconnect it. You may need to change the device as well.
