Overview

Account Summary

Your Account Summary holds important information at a glance to quickly show you what you need to know.

Seat Limit
This number tells you the number of subscription seats available to you. Each time you activate seats from a purchase code, this number will increase. When seats expire, this number will decrease.

Seats Used
This tells you how many students are currently enrolled in your classes:

Seats Expiring Soon
This number tells you how many seats will expire within the next 30 days. You can use this to plan ahead, so you always have enough seats available for your students.

Seats are not tied to a specific student. You can drop a student from your class and then invite a different student to join your class. You can do this as many times as you want during the one year that the seat is valid.

Activate Seats

Note: These instructions are for purchases made from Vernier prior to November 1, 2021. You can no longer purchase access using this method. Please see our help article here for how to purchase from the Pivot Interactives store. If you have any questions, please speak with our support team using the chat feature in the bottom right of your screen.

If you purchased seat codes prior to their discontinuation in November 2021, you can still activate and use these codes. You can no longer purchase access using this method. If you need to purchase additional access, please contact our support team.

To activate your own code:

  • Enter the purchase code listed in Your Seats in the Code area. Once you have clicked outside of the box, the system will check your code to ensure that it is correct.

    • If the code has seats remaining, you will see the available seats displayed under the Code box.

    • If the code has no seats remaining, you will see the message "This code has no seats on it." This means that all of the seats have been used.

    • If the code has been entered incorrectly, you will get a green message bar that reads "There is not a purchase with this code."

  • Enter the number of seats you wish to activate in the Seats box, then click Activate. This will activate those seats on your account immediately.

If you need additional seats, please contact us in our support chat. We will be able to help you get additional seats quickly!

Your Seats

Your Seats displays any seats you have activated. It will show you:

  • The expiration date for each separate activation.

  • The number of seats activated in that batch.

  • The purchase code used for the activation.

A red bar indicates seats that have expired. A yellow bar indicates seats that will expire in the next 30 days.

You can no longer purchase access using this method. If you need additional seats, please contact us in our support chat. We will be able to help you get additional seats quickly!

Updating Your Account Type

If you used seats in the past, you may log in and see this purple bar pinned to the top of your screen. This means that you, your school, or your district has purchased access using a License. In order to access your new seats, you will need to click on this banner.

Once you do this, you will be brought to your profile page, where you can accept your invitation by clicking the Accept button.

Once you do, you will see your Current License status update to match that of the license invitation you accepted.

On a license, you will no longer need to activate or manage seats, as this will be done by your license admin. You can now simply focus on teaching.

To learn more about licenses, check out our help article.
