As a teacher, New Year’s was lost on me, because January 1st never felt like the new year. August 1st did! My life revolved around the school year, not the calendar year. At Pivot Interactives, our new year starts with your new year: right there in August. So, 2023 looks PRETTY close to me!

Where were we? A Recap of 2021-2022

Every year, we at Pivot Interactives make our online curriculum supplement more powerful than the year prior. In the 2021-2022 school year, our focus was collaboration.

For 2022-2023, our focus is you: the administrator.

How can we make your life easier, right inside of Pivot Interactives? We've identified four new ways to make Pivot Interactives simpler for you. Our goal is to allow you to empower your instructors to effectively teach science so students are engaged in authentic phenomena-based learning through the implementation of the science & engineering practices with constant and fast feedback keeping them on track to succeed.

1. An All-New Admin Dashboard

We have listened to hundreds of administrators throughout the years and one thing is very clear: you want data at your fingertips. So, we will be releasing an all-new admin dashboard. Here, you'll be able to see more than just your seats: you can measure the health of your license, see growth potential, and more. We'll be asking for your feedback as we venture into this board, so keep an eye out for the chance to tell us what you need, want, and wish for in a dashboard.

2. Rostering with ClassLink and Clever

Administrators want to help their teachers. And, one of the easiest ways to help is to do their job for them! With ClassLink and Clever SSO and Rostering integrations, you will be able to pre-configure your courses for the 2022-2023 school year. Students will be automatically rostered and classes will be waiting for them; no teacher set-up required!

3. Curriculum Mapping to State Standards

We have always offered mapping to Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), Advanced Placement (AP), and International Baccalaureate (IB). However, we know that as administrators, you are struggling to find content to meet your specific state needs. So, we will be offering new curriculum maps that align our expansive catalog with your state needs, allowing you to focus more on learning and less on planning.

4. Professional Development (And the Data to Track It)

Professional development can be hard to monitor, especially in a self-serve world. That's why we have grown our interactive offerings made on the platform to include more than just videos and help articles. Teachers can now follow along with helpful interactive guides that show them everything from setting up a class to adding students and assignments. They also have access to deeper content, like how to choose a new activity, where we focus on evaluation criteria for strong first cases, and an editor crash course, where our walkthrough works with them as they build their first activity.

As Always, More Content!

In this last year, we added over 200 new activities, bringing Earth Science, Environmental Science, and Astronomy to your classrooms in the click of a button for the first time. We're never done growing the library. Our content, along with the thousands of teacher-created activities, mean that it takes just minutes to launch interactive learning for students. (And, we have a BRAND NEW measurement tool that’s got a bright future! Stay tuned for more…)
