Formatting Options for Numerical Columns

Set the number of significant figures, decimal places, or set to display scientific notation.

You can change the way numerical data is displayed in your data table:
โ€‹

  1. Click the three dots in the Column title, then select Column Settings.

  2. Use the Number Display Format dropdown to select the type of formatting you want. You have the choice of:

    1. No Formatting

    2. Scientific Notation - Example of entering 10,400 in scientific notation: 1.04e4. If you wanted to enter 0.00431, enter: 4.31e-3

    3. Decimal Places

    4. Significant Figures

  3. If you select Significant Figures or Decimal Places, you can also select the number of digits in the dropdown that appears.
